Liza is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker with a decade of experience in character-driven storytelling. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University in Anthropology and Film Production, with a focus on impact-oriented media. Drawn equally to stories of love and resilience as to the darker corners of the human experience, Liza gravitates toward narratives that reveal the intimate and often unseen sides of people’s lives. Her love of all things macabre and interest in those living along the margins of society has led her to create work that evokes hope, fear, and ultimately, unique understanding.

As an editor and producer at SideXSide Studios, Liza crafted projects for international nonprofits, Fortune 500 companies, and worked on original short and feature-length award-winning films. She is adept across formats and platforms, with experience spanning web content, broadcast, live events, and museum installations. She is currently a full-time freelancer.

As a collaborator, Liza brings a fun and solutions oriented approach, ensuring that every team member feels heard and remains passionate about the work ahead. Though she is experienced in every phase of the production process, her greatest passion lies in the edit room where story, emotion, and intention converge.

Liza is based in Baltimore, Maryland and is available to collaborate on productions worldwide.
